It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce our new initiative, Ekko Murals is now fully underway. Our pioneering approach represents a turning point in creating site-specific, unique wall pieces that are both environmentally friendly and visually impressive.
In recent years, there has been a move in the design world towards using vinyl wall coverings when looking to decorate both public and private spaces. It is commonly thought that hand-painted murals are an expensive and slow process compared to the “cost-efficient” vinyl approach. However, our Ekko Mural technique seeks to change this misperception.
Outlined below are a few of the distinct advantages of choosing Ekko Murals:
- Environmentally Friendly
By using ecologically friendly paint and glue for photographic elements, there is no lasting effect on the environment or waste created in the production process.
- Cost Efficient
The production costs of a vinyl wall covering include design, enlargement, material cost, printing, shipping, installation and project management that, in total, can run upwards of $30,000. With repair works that include additional printing and installation, the costs double the original investment.
By contrast, Ekko Murals only involve the design and direct execution of the work by our experienced team of artists. Significantly, repairs can be done on-site with each visit ranging from $1000-$2000 depending on the level of damage.
- Adaptable and Unique Works
Ekko Murals are striking original works of art that can be adapted to fit any space with any site-specific obstructions and they certainly mark a significant break away from the standardized design of vinyl wall coverings.
Columbia University Ekko Mural
Having recently completed a project at Columbia University where two Ekko Murals were installed by the Novo Arts studio to great success.
In the coming weeks we are soon to complete a further three Ekko Murals including for Durst at One World Trade. Be sure to look out for these developments as they come.
